    Collagens play a major role in the skin. They are the most abundant proteins in the skin, making up approximately 75% of the skin’s proteins. Collagens are primarily responsible for the skin’s strength and smoothness. However, over time collagen levels decrease and their proper function is reduced. Once the functionality is reduced, the typical signs of aging become visible.

    Most industry standard “anti-aging” approaches focus on dermal Collagen Type I. In comparison, we take a more holistic approach that focuses on “Total Collagen” care. Along with Collagen Type I, we also focus on Collagen Type III (referred to as “youth collagen”), which is known for its skin smoothing properties. Additional focus is set on the DEJ Collagens (Collagens of the dermal-epidermal junction), which are also referred to as “anchoring collagens” and are essential for skin functionality and support skin firmness. The DEJ Collagens are Collagen Type IV, Collagen Type VII and Collagen Type XVI.
